Oh My Dog, to Blog or Not to Blog!
I am confused about whether to blog or not.
I have loved my time here at xanga and always come back to check in with my long time pals here.
When the spirit moves I like to blog but this whole xanga shutting down and fund raising deal has taken the wind out of my sails.
I think I set up something over at wordpress but have not given that site much of my time or effort looking into how to use it.
Xanga spoiled me with ease of use.
I do not mind paying for premium or what ever – but I will be honest, I did not contribute, what if I did and the site died?
I will and do pay to blog here, I am use to it and some of you faithful bloggers are important to me.
You are my favorite routine and catch up time. All of you. Thanks for blogging here through thick and thin.
Facebook is no replacement for the hallowed halls of xanga. I like the instant gratification but I do not share any real oppionions there. Not even when I comment (or rarely). You all here get my earnest attention and response.
So, is xanga going to make it?
I want to blog, I DO!
Happy Sunday, my xangalians.
xxoo
Cassi

I love blogging in Xanga. I opened up sites in WordPress and Blogster, but Xanga is the best. I am staying and hope you do as well.I understand how you feel in a way. I sometimes have to take brief breaks from posting, but usually miss it in a few days. Like when my wife goes on a trip, I like the freedom, but in three days I miss her and want her back. Thanks for sharing.frank
Xanga will continue — whether or not in this format. The fundraising has been met, and the transition should take place within August. I think we’re all feeling the uncertainty of what it will look like, and that has me wondering at this point. Please stick around!
I think I average 2 or 3 per month, but I check my feed everyday to see what’s going on with everyone. Xanga has been fun and friends here are friends when we need them. It has been sad to watch the flight of certain ones to other blogsites, but I think some of them will rethink it and be back.
Here’s my WordPress site. It’s easy to start a blog there. I’m not sure what’s going on with Xanga but I’m ready to jump ship. (my bad)
You expressed my opinion succinctly. I just don’t have the heart to start over again somewhere else. I’ve always had a paid subscription and I don’t care if they raise the rates. I have found the best subscriptions here and I hope Xanga finds a way to continue. Even though I don’t post as much as I used to, I still come back to read my subscriptions at least once a week.
I love Xanga,too
I love xanga too.
It’s difficult to trust xanga after paying for lifetime premium only to find it wasn’t really lifetime. It’s hard to leave the old hood, but if the building is being condemned you gotta move. I got tired of the threat of the building being condemned and moved to WordPress.com. Yeah, there’s a learning curve, but it’s not that bad and there are a few of us over there already so it’s not too much of a burden. Besides, new cyber digs can be fun. Let me know where you are there and I’ll encourage you. *smile*
Xanga has just faded for me, but then I hear the word recluse often lol. I miss incredible people such as your self, every one needs a barley corn babe in their life in some form or another. You, my dear, are one of the most appreciated people on the planet,
I’m a little confused, too, but I’ve decided to act like nothing has happened and keep blogging and commenting as long as Xanga lives. If you were a paid member, you will be transfered and, they tell me, get credit for what is left of your membership. We’ll see.I have a WP site, too, but am not very crazy about it.
I’m a bit confused myself, but if you are a premium member I believe you get moved over the new digs. If not, I’m sure they will give you plenty of reminders to pay or else you can get a free membership from one of your friends – those who put in $96 or more. I hope you do stay – you are not someone who I have come to know, yet! But some good friends think highly of you.
I read all your comments and I’m most like @whyzat - I’m acting like nothing has happened with xanga and still blogging (about twice a week). I used xanga for free until this came up and then I figured I should have to pay a little since I’ve enjoyed xanga all these years so I put in my $48 dollars for at least one year more.
I agree!
I joined tumblr and I love it, but I still like to still have xanga because it’s where i began and it’s how i was able to leave a bad place and start my own life!
Well, you know where I am… dual posting here and WordPress. I’m not fond of WP… Xanga is much easier and… well, familiar after all these years…
Of course Cassi , it is Xanga that made us meet .I see you are a premium member , Perhaps if they can move to a wordpress basis , your xanga blog will be transferred . Keep hope .Love Michel
RYC : Christain Nayet was painting for ten years only. It was his first exhibition. See the link You have well studied google about this .
I am back and am willing to pay to blog here again. I was just too sick to spend time here. Xanga will go on. We all just have to pay our dues. Glad to have you here. It feels like coming home to me. Jass
I have word press but I find I am stupid about all the stuff you can do there. I have been taking word press lessons. It all seems so complicated to me.
@jassmine - I feel the same way about wordpress as you do. Seeing al these comments motivate me to blog. There is no place like “home”.
You know , I miss you,Cassi.
Love
Michel
