• Hum Drimagery

  Miss Bonnie Pants wants us to all try a little harder and blog more often to keep us connected here on xanga.

  A number of us are all palled up on facebook, but that is a different kind of net working. I tell you, though, I sometimes laugh my self silly reading all the updates and comments each day.

  Life is boring and satisfying over here at casa de queenie these days. Boring meaning nothing crazy is afoot.

  Oh yes, the occasional martini get togethers, music here and there. Life is simple.

  I work at the Gallery Cafe and I am cleaning houses.

  I make it up the hill at least weekly to kiss on my grand daughter and visit my daughter. She is a wonderful mommy and Juniper is a beautiful joy.

  I have plans and goals. My kids are doing well. I am personally making changes in my world. Slow, baby step changes.

  I am blessed with truly great friendships in my life. I am respecting those good people and finally trimming those people who I cannot regard or trust as friends. I tend to tolerate quite a bit of mess in friendships. Sometimes it is best to say no.

  So, how about pictures of our Juniper and the family? YAY!

  I have reconnected with a friend from high school. We moved to San Francisco together back in the way bitchin’ eighties.

  She brought a photo album over of us in the day. I scanned a bunch of pics in and I will share those with you.

  I maybe should’ve done a blog on these photos but, geeze, lets strike while the iron is hot…in other words, I am blogging now. Let’s go for it.

    

  These are taken back in 1981, I am pretty sure, or maybe 1980.

    

  Laura and her brother Bruce had an apartment in downtown Sacramento that we called the No Wave Motel.

  There was a punk club in Sac called the China Wagon. We would go to shows and end up bringing musicians back to the No Wave for the night.

    

  All kinds of hijinx would ensue.

    

  These photos are of myself and my first husband, Bill. He managed cool punk bands. We knew each other all of two weeks before we tied the knot in Carson City Nevada. The photo of Laura and Carrie above in leopard print, they were our best man and maid of honor. We all moved to San Francisco shortly after.
  

    

       

  Trust me, I have had fun my entire life.

  ps: The hs friend I mentioned (from above photos) has invited me to Reno this weekend to see Cyndi Lauper. Do you think we have any leopard print we could squeeze into?
