Things I can be Thankful for Right Now
Number One: I spoke to both of my kids today. Both of them. My daughter is on a coast to coast tour, actually over half way done. She is on the East Coast freezing her ass off. Without gloves (not that I havn’t bought her at least five thousand pair and snow boots since birth). Her tour is going well. Her new album, on Kaleidoscope Records, will be officially put out when they return. Meanwhile, they are getting plenty of play on all the college stations from sea to shining sea. Both she and my son will be home for Christmas. My son is in Portland, he will visit at Christmas and may return home in January 2009. Details are sketchy and still incoming. He did tell me that his band will be putting out a cd on Dreamsheep Records out of Italy. The label would like them to do a European tour. I assured him that they would need a wadrobe and costume woman to assist them. That would be me. I miss my kids. I miss them much and much more. And I think their music is so so cool. I love it. You should check it out if you have not.

All my FRIENDS are hot GLAMOROUS BABES! Yeah YOU! I see Deborah, Debi and Todd, Bogden, you guys are all HOT FOXES!
Number Two: Friends. My life is going through more twists and turns and major overhauls. My friends stand true and new ones keep coming on board. This is a relief. I guess I am not a major fuck up loser. Life is just very interesting and I am along for the ride….unless……my friends are very forgiving and not telling me how they really feel…..ack!!!!!
That deli is not the one I work at but it is just like it!
Number Three: I am currently working at a really nice grocery store. I do mean really nice. So, Thanksgiving is the day after tomorrow. I am not cooking or anything. No can do. In fact, the very items I propose to bring to the fam gathering I will pick tomorrow at 10pm, when I am off work. They will be freshly prepared with great ingredients, packaged nicely and put together so that all I have to do is pick up the parcels, tote them to the check stand and pay for them. Go home, refridgerate, stick them in my car on Thursday and present them. After working seven days a week I think that is all one can strive for on any holiday. Plus, I am really thankful to have work.

Salute!
Number Four: A really great zin for $10.99. I may be broke and working seven days a week but I still find a little bit of time to drink some wine. I hear it is still healthy for you and since I gave up Martini’s, well, this is something. I love wine and I guess I love drinking. Do I mention that in a personal ad or not? Such a fine line these days….I am drinking that lovely zin right now and I totally support unwinding with a nice glass of something illegal under the age of 21. I do.

Number Five: Optimism. I am one of the most optimistic people I know. Even my children are not as optimistic as I am. Many people see this as ignorance, or a flaw. That is a-ok with me. I am an optimistic person and I am deeply grateful for that. Along with faith. I will lump faith into this last gift I have received here on planet Earth. Thank you God. Thank you very much.
There that is.

Namaste
Respectfully Submitted,
Cassi

family and friends…great things to be thankful for
I’m thankful that Thanksgiving is almost over.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I love your list. I may have to do something like that if I’m feeling brave.
you have a safe and happy thanksgiving …
You are too cool for school. Chilly even.
You seem in good spirits and I’m glad. Glad you got to chat up the kidlets and that you’re enjoying your zin. (You can have my share! Wine… blech!)
(((((hugs))))) Thanksgiving hugs, just cuz.
That’s great about your kids….and I would be packed in a bag for Italy. Happy Thanksgiving!
heehee..so your thankful for two boozer kids who do nothing but lie around in the bed all day drinking brewskis? hahahaha….You know me, I just HAD to go there!
There is much to be thankful for, that is the truth. Sometimes we don’t always have the fortune of seeing it at the time, but things begin to turn their direction, with our hard work and perseverance, and things come together in a most wonderful way, at the most unexpected times.
Best of luck to your babies in their musical endeavors. I totally agree that they do need someone to tend to them while they are so busy and I think you would be the perfect person. After all, we always need our moms, right?
Have a great Thanksgiving Cassilou. Enjoy your feast, whether home made or store bought, it’s all the same when we come together with those we love. I wish your kids were with you and I know they wish the same. But good things do come to those who wait.

Great! Positivism is a real plus!
What are your children’s band names? Are they on iTunes?
It is a pleasure to read a post like that ! The kids are both doing well . The mum is doing super well and she is happy . Yeah ;
Happy Thanksgiving , Cassi .
Love
Michel
Good plan. When it’s good enjoy it. When it’s not so good wait for it to get good again and enjoy it some more.
Wow, you DO have a LOT of reasons to be thankful and glad! I will happily check out your musicians…you must be very proud of them! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Lisa
@shell_00 - Thank you for coming by and commenting. The kids do not have i-tunes but they do have myspace sites which I have linked on my blog. They are very alt and indie, so, they have not hit the mainstream. But, one never knows, does one? Have a great t-day!
Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family – Thanksgiving is one festival that we could do with importing to the UK… can we bring back Trick or Treat and take that instead????
Hope you have a great day. xxx
I hope that your sons trip to Europe does requier a wardrobe person and you get to go!!
If not…..I hope that you have a great time and can come down and visit me some time.
