  • Just another night in the Ville

Busy productive week. Next week is a calamity of nothing going on and everything going on. I will see how that all goes.  Wednesday I went up to Placerville to check out a show my daughter booked and was performing in.

I was suppose to go to the Ville the previous Saturday to see my sons band but ended up catching them the following eve closer to home. I had committed to seeing Jocelyn's show this past Wednesday because my friend Kim and cousin Sandy were interested in going too.

The Cozmic Cafe is a cool little coffee shop and venue in the middle of downtown Placerville. It is housed in what once was a goldmine. My daughter works there as a barista. She put together this show on a Wednesday night that was really well received and attended.

Opening that night was Joc's beau, Daniel, of Pregnant. I saw him this past weekend at the house show my son played at. His set was last minute as the opening band never showed up.

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2464/3952209614_0916daffc5.jpg

It was a full house. Jocelyn told me later that it was the biggest money making show that Cozmic has had in quite some time.

I am certain this had something to do with us girls showing up and drinking lots and lots of booze. We do what we can to support the arts.

It was great to be out in the Ville seeing all my favorite kids. Grabbing hugs taking pictures, laughing with my girlfriends. We had a blast.

Up next was a band out from Seattle called Levator. They had the gritty moody guitar like right out a David Lynch movie and the sexy sultry sax with Sky's sweet vocals shining a flash light on their ambient dark pop tunes. I was surprised and appreciative of their slow dance off kilter sound. And it really lent itself to the atmosphere of the Cozmic. I am sure ghosts were swaying in the night as they played.

Sexy Sax guy, they are the cutest band in person! Joc with the nice cafe guy who made my awesome nachos and with Sky from Levator. They are the sweetest kids and so talented.

    Alak

Jocelyn's band took the stage next. With out sounding like her mother...which I am but I pinky swear promise, her set was spectacular. I felt the sound was perfect and followed the Seattle band perfectly. My girlfriends were really impressed by the show and Jocelyn's voice and stage presence. Her band was perfectly in step with the magic and subtle nuances of her songs.

    Spectacular!

Lauren on drums and Natalie on guitar of Agent Ribbons

All that I can say about Agent Ribbons is that these girls are going to be famous. Why they are not famous already is beyond me. They are about the hardest working and touring band that I know. And I know a couple of bands...They are heading to Europe in the coming weeks and are re working some recordings but their available cd's are fantastic.

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2539/3952152048_739c3a89f9_m.jpg   http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2638/3951357079_da6d754ee8_m.jpg   http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2644/3951378965_0d81199556_m.jpg
Aren't these just the cutest bunch of kids?

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2571/3952113420_8c073c8aa0_m.jpg   http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3446/3952138532_78c3e7d920.jpg

Long story short...headed back to Kim's for the night. Her darling daughter Jacklyn opened more booze. We all went to bed after three am. Oh my dog...the next day it was mimosa's for breakfast. Said goodbyes to my daughter and went home to sleep some more.

I have more hijinx in the works so stay tuned...

  • Punk Rock, Pageantry and PBR

I meant to head to Placerville on Friday night to see my son's band perform and visit friends. That did not come together for me. Fortunately the boys played a show in neighboring Sacramento last night. A savings all around on gas and potential partying.

    http://juniperjames.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/100_31931.jpg?w=112&h=150   http://juniperjames.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/100_3192.jpg?w=300&h=225

The house concert venue, Fun Castle is put together by Liz Liles who also owns a cool retro clothing shop in midtown called Buff Castle

It was a house concert in midtown. A venue I have not been to before but was hopping already when I got there. I bet that about sixty to seventy kids were crammed into that bungalow considering the outside smokers, the back yard hangers, the enthusiastic audience and the members of the five bands.

It was pretty organized as far as house concerts go. I met Jocelyn in front of the house. Her boyfriend, Daniel, was also playing this show. The boys and the other band were organizing the stage area. Kids were hanging outside smoking (yeck and double yeck for Jocelyn, who is pregnant , and I hope she was not sick the following day!) and drinking assorted libations.

    http://www.dodgepedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/blues-dodge-police.jpg

Apparently this venue is a bit of a hot spot as police cruisers stopped and patrolled throughout the show. Joc says they have stopped shows in the past. Honestly, the whole evening, aside from loud, was nothing to be concerned about from my perspective. A gathering of kids and loud loud music. Nothing different from years and years of living and learning. Another thing I appreciate about Davis, kids hanging out after dark are not immediately suspect as they are in so many places.  As far as I know, the cops did not invade the place this night.

    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3491/3937839168_6290e0147e.jpg

Erik Woodard and Michael Saalman of Afternoon Brother

Several of my fave kids were about. I hung out with Jocelyn. Michael said hello and gave me a hug, as did Erik, his guitar player. They were the first band up so were focused on getting ready to play. I have not heard the new incarnation of Afternoon Brother. I am very excited to see them. They are all thrilled about the sound.

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2482/3937048655_75845de5b3_m.jpg    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3432/3937844044_853d21793f_m.jpg
Jon Bafus on drums, Michael playing a little guitar

The boys sounds amazing. Organized, crunching very very loud but amazingly melodic. I cannot help but compare them to off kilter jazz riffing with electric guitars. You feel and hear the melody through every instrument but not in the same way you would expect. Jon's drum technique is a lead and catch riff as much as the guitar. And although there were no vocals, Erik's guitar playing gave a sense of vocals or back up harmonies. The boys were awesome.

Dadfag, a punk band out of San Francisco

Loud, very loud. No matter. The kids were all up, stopped smoking and chatting, and clung together at the front stage area to bounce a bit to the high energy shamble of Dadfag. I could not get close as the mob was definitely in rocker mode for this grrrrl fronted band. They reminded me of punk bands doing last minute shows in China Basin in SF, in locked and closed up store fronts that someone somehow got into. Club Foot being one. It made my last remaining punk gene proud. And, their band t for sale had Richard Brautigan emblazoned on the front. How very very cool. Nice work Dadfag. They were heading to Portland right after this.

From Japan - 2UP (called Up Up)

Next up was Up Up. Tetsunori on vocals and guitar and Keiichi on percussion. They were so enthusiastic and really, after listening to their myspace page, live does not do justice to nuances of their punk pop music. But their enthusiasm was absorbing and the crowd was loving them.

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2442/3936988411_0c779963ea_m.jpg   http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2662/3937773070_7914e1d7ea_m.jpg   http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2642/3936973629_d22c878f4d_m.jpg
2Ups adorable merch girl, the band in action, the Wall of Hair shakin' their groove things

Frenetic and way too much fun. Why do Japanese take what the American kids do in angst and rebellion and make it neon and more fun like candied apples? I don't get that. The suicide rate there is astronomical. I do not mean to morbid or glib, but the way our media portrays the Japanese culture, fun and zen are of the order. But I think reality is something else. Meanwhile, I enjoyed 2Up and am impressed that they came from Japan for a month to tour around the West Coast of Cali doing these smaller shows. My son said they are really cool to work with. This was his second show with them. They had a bigger crowd in San Francisco earlier that week.

Addison (with the coolest chops and great striped pants) poses with my daughter Jocelyn, my son in repose with a PBR listening to Daniel's mellow set, Joss the funniest kid in the place (reminding Jocelyn to get prenatal ear plugs for shows like this)

The show was donations and I saw the house show promoter counting up a nice wad of one dollar bills. It isn't much but it looked as though everyone contributed. That is awesome during these hard times. As I was standing around by myself trying not to look like the really old mom that I am (Joc was using the bathroom) I overheard some kids near me, a group of three in skinny leg jeans and worn out cloth converse, spiky greasy hair, hooded sweatshirt's, a cute petite girl with a peter pan doo chit chatting about...the economy. I was internally cracking up. Yes, it is affecting us all.

Daniel Trudeau - he goes by the moniker Pregnant

The last band I stayed to see was Pregnant. Daniel is Jocelyn's beau and father of my future grand-baby. His latest tunes have been wonderful lullaby pop themes with a touch of the grand and delicate procession of the pageantry with the crash thunder of the elephants on parade. At times he makes me think of Brian Wilson during his Pet Sounds and Smile deals. I love his stuff. He was a kindly gentle respite to the tumult and thrashing (but smashing!) of the first several bands. He held the room mesmerized.

He spent the better part of his set with his back to us. Even for some vocal pieces. It really was a great set. Nicely done Daniel. He is going to make the soundtrack to my future grand-baby's life a magical and elegant/elephant song thing.

More pictures of my kids. Because I can.

I had a lovely night. Home a little late but who cares?

Today a meeting at the gallery as I am helping at the upcoming Beat Conference in October (9th through the 11th). If you are local to the area you ought to check it out. Free music for three days, free ceramics and painting for the kids. And the exhibit from the 50's and 60's is stellar. John Natsoulas does an awesome job representing and honoring this period that should never be left behind. Music, art and booze. Adorable downtown Davis, bike parking, free parking and stuff for the kids. What is not to love, Daddy-O?

How can anyone say this is not a food group?????

Have been having awesome time with friends. Shoot, on Thursday poor Debi had oral surgery and HAD to have a liquid diet for a couple of days. The generous and caring person that she is, she invited me over to have MARGARITAS with her and her fam. Oh my dog, thank you Zane for driving me home. I had to do what a friend had to do!

Investigating school for the Spring semester. I let fall slide with the mortgage job and now with getting consistent cash flow it makes sense to look at Spring semester. I missed out on some financial aide opportunities but they will be there next fall, so no loss.

My brother, Mike, rebuilt the front deck to my mom's place and put in this wheel chair ramp. He did an awesome job

My mom is doing ok, only. With my free time I can see her more often . I am worried for her but she is stubborn and avoids the doctor now that she is back at home. She is great about the doing her physical therapy and still not smoking (on the patch, but geeze, this is awesome!). Recently she has lost her voice and is lethargic and a bit depressed. I am hoping this is only allergies. She is taking antibiotics for a couple of days. I have not seen any improvement. I just do not know.

That about covers the Cassi hood. You can also keep up with me on facebook. I am totally addicted to that. For good or for evil. I even twitter now and again.

Hope all is well, I try to visit far more regularly than I post.

  • Living the dream in Los Davis

Because a couple  of my xanga pals and xanga neighbors once lived in Davis and frequently comments about fond memories of living here, I thought I would wander around town today and take some townish photos of this little burg.

Now, I am not quite sure when or where these xanga buds lived here and which areas have changed, but I am sure it is a bit different and a bit the same as the town they remember.

Part of the Davis experience is the student population because of UC Davis here in town. It is pretty studious environment, the kids around here are not the stereotypical party frat/sorority students. It is a pretty quiet and very safe town. After finals week and on Picnic Day weekend, things get a little rowdy but nothing like what it could get. These are a bunch of science and biology majors around here. On bicycles no less.

    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3460/3902338439_0c29e885b2.jpg

This bamboozled rig sits outside of a barber shop on G Street

According to the [WWW]League of American Bicyclists, Davis is the most bike-friendly city in the nation.  Davis was the first city in the nation to experiment with and implement the now-ubiquitous bike lane. There are now more than 100 miles of bike paths, lanes, and trails inundating the city. There is probably no easier place in all of the United States to be 100% car-free.

The main and busiest intersection upon entering Davis, that is the John Natsoulas Gallery that I always write about

The Loft Building and the Hot Dogger

Upon entering this small grid of a berg you are immediately dropped off onto E Street, home of the very cool John Natsoulas Gallery as well as the Lofts Professional building. I worked at a mortgage office in The Loft's for over three years. One can hardly talk about down town Davis and not mention the Hot Dogger. Gourmet hot dogs with a thousand different mustards to choose from as well as a vegetarian dog for the non meat eating population.

    http://daviswiki.org/Mansion_Square?sendfile=true&file=mansion.jpg     http://daviswiki.org/Mansion_Square?sendfile=true&file=mansionabove.jpg

We have the Mansion Square that holds my favorite Thai and sushi places in Davis

It also has the interesting tale of the leaning Grey Pine. On February 14th, 2008 a giant Foothill/Gray Pine gradually began to tilt, eventually coming to rest on the Kaplan Educational Center building in Mansion Square forcing the [WWW]closure of the 100-200 block of E Street. The tree was removed but Mansion Square businesses were closed in the interim. The tree was one of the oldest trees in Davis and was one of the city's Landmark Trees. There were marching bands and news crews all over that closed block making for quite the hub bub if you worked around there, which I did. There was the night myself and a pack of friends thought we might take one of the enormous rounds (it took six of us to lift and roll it across the street) for old times sake. I blogged about it with photos way back then. A local artist (Andrew Dorn) actually painted a wonderful portrait capturing the leaning pine.

And of course there are changes around town. Monthly  there are newly emptied store fronts, but still renovations and new business' are still making news. I wrote an entire blog about my friend Deborah's gift shop on E Street that closed it's doors last June.

Tibet Nepal, one of my xanga pals favorite place - right across from Katmandu Kitchen (delish Indian food and incredible lunch buffet - YUM!)

Tibet Nepal sells Tibetan and Nepali items including, but not limited to, prayer flags, clothing, incense, jewelry, singing bowls, and Buddhist and Hindu religious objects. There are signs posted throughout the store warning shoppers not to touch the merchandise and a gruff male individual (the owner?) will reprimand you if you ignore the signs. He was there today and was a bit pissy when I asked to take photos, but I explained that he had a fan in Texas who would love to see how the store remains the same. He let me click away...

The Richards Boulevard underpass that leads into and out of town towards the freeway - into and out of the worst intersection in Davis

I have enjoyed the better part of the over four years I have been living here. It all started off quite bumpy and I actually hated this town but felt compelled to stay for one excuse or reason or another. I have made wonderful new friends here. In fact, I was just at Debi and Todd's for dinner this past weekend. What a hilarious evening that turned out to be. Debi was doing a little welcoming get together for her niece Liz who has moved into the Debi and Todd estate for a short stay. I have not laughed that much in ages. My friend, Paul, who has since moved to So Cal to be with his family but who I have fond memories and laugh out loud facebook contact with regularly. Oh the scandals I have been part of and the reveries I have shared in.

Davis, I do not know how I got here but I am glad that I came and stuck it out.

  • Of working, drinking, internet exchanging

That sums up my current sitch.

I always feel compelled to blog when Michel notes my absence. Blame it on exhaustion and tired evenings for the recent lapse.

I certainly have not been lackadaisical these weeks since I was terminated from the 9 to 5 world of employment on August 19th.

No new interviews although I am shooting my resume out to hither and yon...Hither & Yon Inc. I applied for unemployment but I do not think I will be eligible.

I have looked into assistance (food stamps, general assistance), I have to. Never in my life have I; but right now things are pretty bleak and barren.

I have garnered several housecleaning jobs from previous clients. I spent three days cleaning empty apartments from a listing off of craigslist. Oh my dog, I am working my ass off for nine bucks an hour, but what ever, I needs the dough. This is apartment turnover time here in Davis, California. When all the student leases are up and all the students are moving in or out.

Most of the places were in some state of cleanliness but several were right out of Animal House. Unbelievable slothness. Filth. But, hey, it was work. Hence the drinking. Purely medicinal, I tell you. Thank you Dr.Gin Martini and Nurse Olives, you save the day. My back says I will have what ever she is having, make mine a double.

Not my Benz but definitely a google image coup!

I finally got my Mercedes towed home. A hundred dollars later. Actually, I am lucky and blessed that the shop did not charge me storage fees. That is how I came to lose the Fiat. I could not afford to have it registered, insured AND pay the storage/impound fees. So, a hundred bucks, but I made that cleaning those apartments these past day.  I am neither better nor worse off in the long run. I do have the most beautiful German made car port ornament in the alley.

The wedding last weekend was wonderful. WONDERFUL. I cried.

Ryan, my not-a-nephew, in his banana suit (costumes were optional at the wedding! Jer wore Speed Racer gettup at Ryan's wedding!)

Seeing my long time friends on such a happy occasion really did something to soften my soul. Put something inside of me at ease that has not felt such a thing is some long time. I, as usual, hung out with my kids. **Tracy's oldest son, **Ryan, was there. His wife and daughter were at another wedding and he hung out in our corner of the room too. Michael was DJ'ing and the beer was right next to us...we had it all going on! Ryan had so much enthusiasm for Joc and her future offspring with all kinds of wisdom and baby stuff shopping tips. He had us laughing our heads off, like old times.

Kim, Vi and Larry with the champagne HELL YEAH!

Eventually I hung out side with **Vi, Larry and **Kim for some champagne and gossip. Things are good, somethings are not so much. Life goes on. Kim is trying out the dating torture. He was so funny and we both agreed that women this age are kind of bitter out there.

And last but not least, I totally love keeping up with you all on facebook and Twitter. It is my new internet dealy doo. Love it!

**Tracy, my best friend since third grade died a little over two years ago. Ryan is her eldest son and Kim is her husband. Vi is her mom. The wedding was for Jerry, her little brother and Sheryl is Trac's older sis. I have known these people longer than anyone except my own family.

  • The Beer Song

A friend reminded of this song that I use to sing all the time...

    BEER!

I am going to a wedding today, a very special wedding.
Both my kids will be with me.

I am very excited about the day!

Meanwhile, the second interview did not go so well.
In all honesty, I thought the pay

was kind of cruddy and the hours kind of stupid.
I would not have refused work, but they

did not offer me any. Relief.

More housekeeping jobs are coming together.
Another friend has offered a party serving gig.

    The beat goes on.
    xxoo

I believe that Beer song is by Homer Simpson.
  • Give me a broom and I'll sweep my way to Heaven

Give me a job, you name it..." Roches Sisters song "Mr. Sellack"

I have been out on a job interview and lots more. I have been called back for a second interview tomorrow morning.

I sold my kayak. A chunk of change. I kept my sit on top one but I really need the cash and my sea kayak is less likely to see any water time soon. I am also selling a pretty bitchin' mountain bike that I love but needs to go for the same reason. I am keeping MY mtb but this one is not going to see any trail time soon and is worth some clams.

I spoke to my landlord about my situation. He is awesome as usual and gave me an interesting job lead to look into.

Jerry and Doll Face in their civilian cloths

I am excited about a wedding I will be attending next weekend. My best friend Tracy's brother, Jerry, is getting married to the most wonderful person. It will be awesome to see his fam. Especially because I am bringing my daughter and my son is DJ'ing the reception. We will all be there. Trace is my friend who died just over two years ago leaving a gaping hole in so many of our hearts. I will be so happy to see her kids, her hub, her MOM and everyone else.

We have been told that costumes are optional

Jerry, the groom, loves to dress up. He even gave me a costume idea. Preggo chick with hooker heels and some chewin' tabacky. Of course I have the hooker heels but I will have to shop for the tabacky.

I have been really busy checking into many many things and applying for many jobs. Everyone has a great idea and I add these ideas to my list. I will get through it by hook (er heels) or by crook.

Please do not shudder at this next bit of TMI...I have been having hot flashes. No shit.

My body heard that I am going to be a grandma'ma and said "HELL YEAH!"

It has been interesting and mostly funny at this point. Ok enough...I will stop for the squeamish. But, some of you ladies know what I am talking about. Why is this room like the North Pole with the AC and I have steam coming off my arms?????

    Oh all riiiiiiight...

I have stayed mostly away from craigslist but for job searching only. So, no retail therapy so far...I cannot make ANY promises.

How are you doing my xanga-neighbors? I hope things are good and well, tell me what is going on with you?

  • Taking my sorrows out for a swim...

    Too much tequila...

But, I wore a helmet this time.

I fully admit to be hit hard by this job loss. There had been some issues in regard to errors. I brought them to my supervisors attention immediately. I also corrected the errors, one of which was absolutely not my fault but I took complete responsibility for it, by the next morning. All three happened in the same day. I was frank and direct asking if this might lead to my termination. My supervisor said that we would discuss this in my review. On Wednesday they terminated me using those errors as the reason for termination. My last check was prepared and I was sent home.

It was shocking and humiliating. But I will be truthful about it here. I won't try to be cavalier and blame the economy.

These past days have included drinking in excess in addition to my calling all my past housekeeping clients to see if they needed help. That was partially fruitful. I have stepped up my energy in selling some big ticket items. I have applied to the UC here in Davis and have two temp places that I will look into on Monday.  At the moment there is not many jobs available but I search daily.

“I drink to drown my sorrows, but the damn things have learned to swim.”
-Frida Kahlo in a letter to Ella Wolfe, Wednesday 13, 1938

Ok, so you know that I am not totally drowning myself in a bathtub full of gin...

I finally got out of town today to see my fam. Visited mom, she is doing great. She finally got herself cable after years of using an antenna and not giving in to paying for television. This new tv thing that I do not fully understand (I don't watch but I have television to watch films) has finally put the kabosh on her tube watching. And she tells me "We have five hundred channels and still there is not a God damned thing on worth watching"

I laugh at this. I am fully aware.

I checked out the deck that my brother built, for mom's wheel chair access and walker needs. I should have taken a photo damn it! He did a really really nice job. I am very proud of him. It was a very nice visit.

I had TWO grandma dreams about Jocelyn with a baby girl...

Jocelyn was at work so I popped in to say hello and to see when she would take a break. The cafe she works at was very very busy. I walked around town. I went into a baby clothes shop. Oh my goodness. All my grandma genes or cells or what ever it is, just kicked in. Oh my goodness...my little grandma heart was melting.

    The foxy girls! by you.

Kimmy with her daughter Jacklyn before said family melodrama

I visited my friend Kim who is going through similar financial hardship and even more family melodrama. Although, the stories, as she told them to  me today, were our comic relief. She has the most reasonable and non judgemental perspective on stuff. Spending a couple hours commiserating today was like awesome.

Joc wearing my cheap sunglasses by you.

Jocelyn wearing my cheap Target sunglasses

Visited with Joc briefly at the cafe that she works at but came back later to hang out with her at her break. That was so very lovely. We caught up and talked about what was going on with her. She and her BF are very enthusiastic. His parents are also as excited as I am. All of her work mates kept coming up to me "You have heard the news, very exciting?!?!" Prompting me to beam and say YES YES YES!

Joc and Danielle at Cozmic by you.

Jocelyn and her darling work mate, Danielle

Meanwhile, I also got to meet her workmate Danielle. She is twenty with a sixteen month old DARLING son. She had tales and tales about her son and her situation. She also confirmed that Joc is having a daughter. She said allow her to double check at three months and that she is ALWAYS right. How exciting!

Very supportive day away. I have a new list of things to attend to.

That is my current story. I also checked in with Jocelyn on where she was with the baby gift sitch. First of all...Stuffed animals: how many and max size? She and her brother have already forbid me to buy them stuffed animals of any kind for any occasion. I am known for going insane. But I am trying to warn her in advance...

  • I will see my extremely good news

And raise you some extremely bad news.

I was terminated from my job today.

I am kind of shell shocked and frankly, scared shitless.

    This will pass.

I already called a couple of housekeeping clients to see if they need me still. I have a couple more to check in with.

I honestly know that I do not have the wherewithall to tackle much more crazy shit. I need to stay cognizant of the good things. My children are doing quite well and now we have this wonderful grandbaby to look forward to.

    Uhm...so there that is...

    Happy Hump day!

  • New Stuff Afoot

It is simply not enough for me to be so very close to fifty. That would be whining.

BUT...becoming a grandma'ma in my very close future clinches that fact that I am an old lady and I LOVE IT!!!!!

I had a dream last night that I was buying my grand daughter an astrolog. ical chart. She was Jocelyn's daughter, in the dream she was around three years old. It was a pleasant dream but when I awoke, given that the grand daughter in the dream time was already three years old I did not give this much weight. A future glimpse or just a realization that new things were afoot seemed to be the story being told to me upon waking.

My daughter called me at work this morning. First of all, my daughter calls me at her leisure. For her to call would mean it might be important. I picked up the call.

    "Mom, I have some news."

Well I am having a grumpy Monday morning. My back is killing me and I drank too much wine the night before. Bad sleep, achy back, grumpy mom.

I know my daughter does not call me for no reason. What is this news?

"Mom, this is BIG news." I began to laugh.

    I already figured this out.

What is your news Sweetie Peetie?

    "I am pregnant"

I begin to laugh because, I already know this. I know.

I laugh and tell her of course, I had a dream. And I laugh and laugh.

We talk for a moment more. I will go see her this weekend. I need to go hug my girl.

Her bf is freaked out. "You mean to tell me that doing this over and over and over again makes babies???" (not really, but boys are so funny) But, he cools down and decides that they should DO THIS THING! (and probably with high fives like our family does)

Her brother is freaked out...They are going to go through with this?

But he relents,"Well, I am glad, we need to add more people to our family. It sure wasn't going to be me."

Nor, me, I add. We like our family. The world needs more of us.

    So, there that is.
