Headache
Busy times around the Cassi De Pepe estate.Working, trying to make it out to holiday parties, but also, trying not to over do it…a slippery slope!
Got my tree up and decorated. I think it is my first tree since I have been in Davis. Except my tiny purple Liberace tree. Does that one count?
I bought it from the Boy Scouts the day after Thanksgiving. I stayed in for Thanksgiving. I had invites but chose to be home.
It is a small tree but I like it.
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas over here.
I have twinkle lights hung and ornaments about.Jocelyn is still not talking to me. No comment.
Esme De’Clawed
More quality time with my cat…She needs her mommy time too.
My friend from high school, Carrie, and I have met up for dinner and fun. It is great to reconnect with her. And to meet her boys. They are fine gentlemen.
Adam, me and Ian (That is Carrie in the mirror) at Fat City in Old Sac
We had dinner together Thanksgiving Day eve. We ended up on the phone with our partner in crime, Laura. Making plans to go visit her and look at old pictures from back in the day. We have so much fun.Cool Sax dude James, Tony Passarell, Carrie and Dax
This past Friday there was an event at a cool cafe in downtown Sacramento. Carrie’s husband, Tommy, passed away this year suddenly. She and her boys are just getting through the days. Friends of Tommy’s put together a wonderful retrospective of his photography. The opening was this past Friday at Luna’s Cafe. The photos are wonderful, they did a real nice selection.
Tony, Dax drumming and Keith Carey on stand up bass
There was food and good wine. Friends and family. A group of musicians played old school Jazz. It was a magical night.
Hijinx at the Hyatt Regency in Midtown Sacramento
Carrie decided to get a room at the Hyatt so we could have fun with no worries about driving home later. She got a luxurious suite. We drank more wine, kept the boys up with our silly laughter. Made plans to go to Europe next year for our fiftieth. We want Laura and her husband to come too.Laughter is the best medicine! I miss my grand daughter. My son and his girlfriend will be here for Christmas Eve dinner. I invited Joc and her family. We shall see how that works out.
Hope your holidays are merry and bright!

I love you Cassielouwho! A nice Christmas story with pictures, as usual. Never do you post your life events without the glorious photos!
I don’t know what is going on with your daughter, but I truly hope that Christmas is a happy one for all and that she and the tiny one are with you for the holidays.
the tree looks awesome! looks like you’ve been a busy bee. sorry to hear about jocelyn–hopefully things will patch up by Christmas.
Glad you’re feeling a bit better. The Liberace tree counts. I like staying home for Thanksgiving sometimes. I have done it a few times. It can be quite healing when intentional. I hope you are able to celebrate Christmas with your family intact. Peaceful holiday week, don’t stress it.
Merry Christmas.
I remember the Boy Scout Christmas trees every year for sale at the church not far from where I lived. I used to pass by on my walks to the cemetery. There’s nothing like a real tree to bring the Christmas spirit alive. Have a great Christmas.
You have always been a “glass half full” type of gal no matter what. This Christmas I wish for you a glass that is full and runneth over. You deserve for all of the love that you so freely give to come back to you.
Thank you for being beautiful you.
