Still waiting on baby Juniper
Hi, good morning.
It is Monday. I am up in Placerville to be with my daughter. I drove up on Saturday. Packed a bag. I plan on staying until baby Juniper gets bornded.
Her due date was yesterday. Jocelyn, Daniel and I walked to downtown Placerville to see if we could get things going. She has contractions starting up but nothing too strong or very consistent. Walking is suppose to be good. So is cilantro, according to our waitress, Tracy, at Tortilla Flats. We had a late lunch there. Joc had an enchiladada with mole sauce with heaps of cilantro.
It is about 8 am. I am waiting for Joc to call me. Last night, as I left her place, she was making sure that her bag was ready, making a list of essentials not to be forgotten. She was a busy busy little mother to bee.
I have tons of photos. As you can well imagine. It is kind of fun to be up here with nothing to do. I have cleaned Joc’s place as best I can. I have a stupid bum shoulder. It is improving but slowly. Joc and Daniel have really gotten their place in an organized state. It is a tiny one bedroom but it really is cozy and welcoming now. Those two have been creative with the small space.
My son drove up yesterday. I am staying at a bed and breakfast three blocks from Joc’s place. I am there in a jiffy when she needs me and I can walk over to hang out. The place is really nice, check out their web site: The Glen Morey Country House (I am staying in the St. Andrews room with a huge claw foot tub that I am bathing in every night!). I get to be a tourist in my home town. I feel like one. I walk around with my camera. The weather has been amazing but rain is predicted in a day or two. That is fine too. I guess. I brought a warm jacket and gloves.
Anyway, that is me. I will be back to load up tons of photos and report on the birth of Miss Juniper. Jocelyn’s process and Daniel’s dad skills.
Life is sweet.
How are you xanga-neighbors?
ps: I am unable to attach a link or edit this properly what is up with xanga? They are raining on my parade!

I checked out your room online…very nice! If rain is in the forecast, perhaps a weather front will get things “started”. Enjoy your time with that precious daughter. They are so lucky to have you there to help with the “unknown”…I was fortunate to have my Mom close when I needed her and no doubt your daughter will feel the same way!
oh Cassi, no one can rain on your parade now! you are almost a Grandma’ma! the room you are in is darling and I am a little envious of the claw foot tub…okay not a little! quite a bit!
sounds like Joc is nesting. that’s a good thing. and so is cilantro and walking should help. I am thinking of all of you and awaiting the birth of Juniper! take care of your shoulder!
Everyone there must be on the edge of their seat just waiting for the big moment! Hopefully Xanga will behave and you’ll soon be able to post some of those links. Best wishes to the happy couple!
Xanga’s been acting up for me too! Someone should tell them if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!!
Good luck with the baby! Mac and Cheese with Tabasco works like a charm too! Poor mama having to eat all our ideas!
It is an exciting time. I hope baby doesn’t keep us all waiting too long.
Send me your snail mail address so I can send something for her.
orgasm is the way to get things started
better than eating all that weird shit…and much more fun too
hope you aren’t kept waiting too much longer
The bathtub sounds nice.
Since moving to Texas I’ve been eating a lot of cilantro but I had no idea.
Fingers crossed that all is well!
well orgasm does work very well. but it’s really important WHO has the orgasm!
Juniper is a fantastic name! Actually, I just bought a house on Juniper Street. I thought it was a great name for a baby when I bought the house and it was awesome to read that a baby will be named Juniper. I even considered adopting a cat and name her Juniper. LOL
It sounds so exciting for you! I can’t wait to meet her virtually.
Hoping the lil one makes her appearance soon! How excited you must be!
