Mom is BACK

With a vengeance.Mom is doing much better today. Thank you very much for your kind words and well wishes. Mom thanks you too. She thinks all your prayers helped, and I know they did. I want you all to know that and I love you for that.

She is in a regular room at the hospital. She is cranky and bossy and this is ALWAYS the best sign.
Meanwhile, I brought her fast food that included a chocolate shake, I bossed the nurses around (nicely, I promise) and right now I am sitting here drinking a very cold beer after I did a little (just a LITTLE, I swear!) retail therapy on the way home. The new job is going really really well. I did not expect this and am really appreciate something to take my mind off my mom. The office is nice, the work is interesting and a I am catching on pretty quickly. I did not feel all that optimistic about this but, wow, I do now.
There that is.

Thank you xanga-angels. You are all awesome and I loves you.

Sometimes all it take is a Whole Lot of Love (zepplin pun intended) and Xanga power.

I’m so happy to hear that your mom is doing better now. My mom is getting over her operation and I thank you for your kind words. x
So glad everything is going well for you. You certainly deserve it!
YAY for feeling well enough to be cranky and bossy! As a former CNA/CHHA, I can assure you, many family members are pleased when their loved one has recovered enough to boss them around.
Glad for you both, Lisa

led zep 4, wowie…brings back some memories!
My sister and I went through a whole lot of ups and downs with my uncle while he was inconvenienced by prostate cancer. Even though we knew he was terminal (eventually you guys are all going to die) we celebrated every good day. His illness allowed for a far more intimate relationship than we had ever had in all the years he had been our healthy favorite uncle.
Serious illness allows you to say and do all the tender, sappy things that you feel silly doing when a person is whole, and in the end, you can say good bye without regret, having had the time to really connect.
